Lush Book Review

Natasha Friend's Lush saddened me with the terrible story of a girl named Samantha. The most saddest thing about this is that a lot of girls, even guys, have some of the same stories as Samantha in our world today.

The life lesson that this book illustrates is that things can be hard at times and a person might need someone to lean on when they're down. Also when things are going wrong, you just need to hope for the best and never give up on what can happen, and keep faith.

Sometimes you also have to forgive a person when they do wrong.

In Lush, I feel bad for Samantha's whole family. Her dad is an alcoholic and he's to the point where he can't help drinking anymore. Samantha can't talk to her friends about her dad's problem, so she writes a note to someone that she thinks will hopefully help her with her problems.

I would recommend this book. Lush can be depressing at times, but it can keep you on your toes about what can and probably is happening in our world today.
